Police uncover cannabis factory in Ballynure

Detectives from the PSNI's Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have discovered a cannabis factory in Ballynure yesterday morning (Friday).

A number of cannabis plants, estimated to have a street value of approximately £20,000, were found and recovered following a planned search of a house in the area.

Detective Constable Skillen said: “These drugs will now not make it onto the streets and this find is a good example of the PSNI’s commitment to tackling the issue of drugs in local communities.

“I would ask anyone with any information about the supply or use of illegal drugs in their area to contact their local police station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
