One minute silence to be observed in memory of Martin McGuinness
Members of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council are set to observe a one minute silence as a mark a respect following the death of former Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Cllr John Scott has expressed his deepest sympathies to the family of Mr McGuinness.
Cllr Scott said: “My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and surrounding family at this very difficult time.”

A council spokesperson said: “As a mark of respect, there will be one minute of silence at the full council meeting on Monday evening.”
The meeting is set to take place in Antrim Civic Centre at 6:30pm.
