TINY Tots Nursery in Monkstown will be holding an Open Day for prospective new pupils on Friday, June 15.

The nursery, which recently moved in to new accommodation at Hollybank Primary School, has been running for many years and has the capacity to teach up to 24 children per session.

The nursery, which is a member of the Early Years Organisation and has the support of staff who are specialists in Early Years provision, operates every morning from 8.50am until 12 noon, from September to June. On three extended days each week there is a children’s lunch club.

Places funded by the Department of Education are available for children in their final pre-school year, and there are also fee paying places for younger children aged two years 10 months - 3 years (who are not in their final pre-school year).

The nursery benefits greatly from being located in the primary school and has the use of all school facilities. Daily sessions include structured play, physical play, story time and other organised activities aimed at improving the children’s social skills, physical language and creative skills.

“It has been a great move for the nursery school and it is really good for the children to be based in a school environment,” said Hollybank Principal, Mr Stephen McConkey.

The Open Day will take place at Tiny Tots Nursery, Hollybank PS, Devenish Drive on June 15 between 10am and 12 noon. Everyone welcome.
