Pedestrian injured by egg thrown from car


Officers from the PSNI’s University area Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating reports of eggs being thrown at pedestrians from a moving car.

Police have received reports of two incidents on Tuesday, January 7 during which people who were out walking had eggs thrown at them from a moving car.

“One incident occurred on Circular Road, Jordanstown and one on Church Road, Glengormley. One of these occasions resulted in injury and police are taking these incidents very seriously,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

Both incidents occurred between 7.50pm and 8.10pm.

Investigating officers have appealed for anyone with information about the vehicle or persons involved to contact the Neighbourhood Policing Team at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000.
