Police are appealing for information after a distraction burglary took place this morning (Monday, November 9).

At approximately 10.20am, a man called at the door of an elderly lady in Bawnmore Park and asked her to go round to the back of the house. While the woman was distracted, another man went into her home. At this time, it is not believed that anything has been taken. The two men are believed to have been travelling in a silver Peugeot 307.

Detective Inspector Millar said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
