Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 24-year-old woman was attacked and robbed in the Whitewell area as she made her way to work at a Glengormley bank on Friday, August 9.

At around 4.15pm two men forced the woman to stop her car in the Floral Gardens area at the junction of the Whitewell Road and Antrim Road by jumping out in front of the vehicle.

One man unsuccessfully tried to take her car keys, then hit the victim while the other opened the passenger door and grabbed a bag. They made off on foot down the Whitewell Road with a sum of money.

The woman suffered only minor injuries, but was left badly shaken by the ordeal.

One attacker is described as being around 6ft 2in tall, in his 20s with ginger hair and wearing a grey tracksuit. The other wore a dark tracksuit.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the robbery to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
