Police have uncovered a cannabis factory containing plants with an estimated street value of around £10,000.
The plants were discovered during a proactive search operation carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property on Arthur Road in the Longlands area on July 5.
A number of items used in the cultivation of cannabis were also seized.
A PSNI spokesperson said that so far there have been no arrests, but stressed that enquiries are continuing.
Macedon UUP councillor John Scott welcomed the seizure of the plants.
“I’m glad that these drugs won’t make it onto the streets. This is a good result for the local community and I would urge people to do what they can to help the police in the fight against illegal drugs,” he said.
