Police investigate Monkstown burglary

Police officers are appealing for information following a burglary that took place in the Jennings Park area of Monkstown.

The incident took place sometime during Monday, January 25 and Tuesday 26.

Although nothing was stolen during the incident, damage was caused to the property itself.

A spokesperson from the PSNI said: “Following a period of initial enquiries, police are now appealing to the public to see if they observed anything which could possibly assist in the apprehension of those involved. Did you see anything suspicious or anything that seemed out of the ordinary?”

Police in Newtownabbey are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Quote the reference number: 517 of 26/1/16.
