CLOTHING retailer Primark could be set to open a store in the new Northcott shopping centre development.
The popular high street company which sells clothing at the budget end of the market, has refused to comment on speculation that it is opening a store in Glengormley’s new shopping complex.
Tesco which is funding the majority of the £35 million new build will be the anchor tenant in the centre which is set to open on Monday, November 28 and is expected to be renamed the ‘Sandyknowes Shopping Centre’.
As well as a new Tesco Extra, there will also be a cafe, a MediCare chemist and two other retail units.
Indeed, up to 10 additional retail units could open in the coming months once tenants have been secured.
Primark once operated a store in the old Northcott, but left some time before that complex closed.
