Rathcoole group raises funds for charity at coffee morning event

Newtownabbey Arts and Cultural Network (NACN) recently held a coffee morning in their new premises at 24a The Diamond, Rathcoole.

The event, which was held on Friday, September 30, was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The well attended event received support from the Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Cllr John Scott, Rathcoole Gordons Chemist Pharmacist, Michelle, Currys Newtownabbey Manager, David Smyth, Abbey Community College, Simon Smyth, Studio 13 Tattoos, Roy Beggs MLA, Chair of Rathcoole Regeneration Group, Scott Higgins, PSNI officers, along with NACN volunteers and residents from the estate. The group launched their new graffiti piece which was created by members of the group and sprayed by Artist and DJ, Glenn Molloy. The group is already looking forward to running many more events in Rathcoole.

Meanwhile, the new recording studio will be opening soon. A new four-part play about a family living in a deprived area is also being produced.
