Ballyclare PUP election candidate Scott McDowell has urged local householders to take advantage of the 4 Tier Security Scheme.

The initiative, run by the PSNI and local Policing and Community Safety Partnership in association with other statutory agencies, is a free service aimed at helping vulnerable people feel safe in their own homes.

“The scheme is aimed at reducing crime and fear of crime and specifically deals with crimes against the most vulnerable members of the community. The scheme provides free security equipment and advice to residents and is not means tested, but it does have a limited budget available,” Mr McDowell explained.

For more information about the 4 Tier Security Scheme contact local police or call the PCSP on 028 9034 0070.
