Six Cubs from 1st Ballyclare Scout pack gained the highest accolade possible in Scouting in their age group - The Chief Scout’s Silver Award.

Cubs Olivia Neill, Caitlin McCartney, Andrew Herron, James Russell, David Andrew and Lewis Smith successfully completed six challenges to gain the award.

Cub Scouts, Olivia and Caitlin, were the first girls to gain the Chief Scout’s Silver Award in the club’s history.

The challenges were themed to different programme zones set for the Cubs and included creative, community, fitness, global, outdoor and the Cub Scout Promise.

Demonstrating their commitment, drive and determination the Cubs spent three years on the challenges to gain the prestigious Silver Award.
