Christmas 2011 kicks off in Ballyclare this Saturday (November 26) with a packed programme of celebrations that is set to sparkle.
Make sure you don’t miss the great events happening around The Square that are sure to get everyone in the festive mood.
Mayor Billy Webb will be joined by everyone’s favourite movie ogre, Shrek, and some of his famous friends in The Square at 5.30pm to kick off the festive season and switch on the Christmas lights.
The fun and games will get under way at 2pm with entertainment from Citybeat 96.7/102.5fm, with Freefall and Gleekz. At 5pm, a short programme of Christmas readings, Carols and music will take place. The evening will end with a fabulous firework extravaganza and Christmas will officially have arrived in Ballyclare.
Don’t miss the events at the Town Hall car park between 2pm and 5pm, which will be buzzing with fun for everyone. Activities include a party playhouse, bungee trampoline, rodeo reindeer, paintball range, face painting, festive tattoos, stilt walkers and a climbing wall. And the best bit about it - everything is absolutely FREE!
