A FORMER Glengormley taxi driver and depot owner has pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of pounds from a pensioner.

Terence Matthew Boyle was accused of robbing £4,000 from an 88-year-old man in the Glengormley area on July 15 last year.

The 42-year-old from Hightown Park pleaded guilty at Belfast Crown Court on Tuesday, January 10.

He was released on continuing bail while pre-sentence reports are prepared ahead of sentencing on February 17.
