TV figures are black and white

Fewer than 20 households in the Newtownabbey area now have a licence for a black and white television.

The latest figures released by TV Licensing reveal that the number of Northern Ireland homes enjoying black and white TV has dropped below 850, and to less than 20 locally.

Across the UK, the number of families watching a black and white TV has dropped a further 12 per cent in the past year, with fewer than 12,000 sets now in use nation-wide.
