There was a fine turnout for Ballyrobert Village Committee’s (BVC) Plant and Produce Sale in The Thompson Primary School on May 18.

The hall was packed with an array of flowering plants, vegetables and planters. The displays were supplied by Coleman’s Garden Centre, Ballyrobert Cottage Garden, Ann’s Container Gardening and Plant Nursery and green-fingered local residents. There were also a variety of other stalls & refreshments on offer.

BVC’s Caroline Lindsay thanked all the committee members and volunteers who helped set up and staff the stalls, the school, the local businesses, including Lidl Ballyclare, for their support and all those who attended.

The money raised will be added to the grant funding which has been provided by Newtownabbey Council towards the cost of running the Summer Festival in the village on August 2 and 3, and other events and activities.
