MEMBERS of Templepatrick WI took part in a walk from Lough Neagh at Antrim to Clotworthy House at Antrim Castle on Saturday, April 28 for Associated Women.

Bill McAvoy and his wife Rosie provided a guide for the 18 members as they walked the route.

At Clotworthy House there was much craic to be had as the members enjoyed a welcome break for coffee and scones and chatted with other WI members before the return journey.

All the members had a great time admiring the views and spotting the wildlife - including a heron on a tree - as they made their way back.

The project was undertaken by all the Women’s Institutes in Northern Ireland in aid of Associated Women of the World which aims to make a positive difference to needy women and their families across the world.

The members all agreed it was a very worthy cause.
