MALLUSK-based Wilsons Auctions has been named one of Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies for a record fourth year in a row at the recent Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.
The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme recognises Irish companies across the island which operate at the highest levels of business performance.
Companies that have been recognised as a Best Managed Company for four years running are awarded with a special ‘gold standard’ accolade.
Wilsons Auctions is one of only two Northern Ireland based companies to win the prestigious accolade.
“To be named amongst the top business performers in Ireland for four years in a row is a great honour,” said Peter Johnston, group operations director of Wilsons Auctions.
“We are a family owned business, with a committed management team who are highly involved in the day-to-day running of each of our auction complexes across our group.
“Each of our operations work in different markets with different audiences but all operate under the same best practice principle - our customers come first.”
Brendan Jennings, managing partner for Deloitte and judging panel member added: “This year’s Best Managed Companies represent the best of innovation, creativity, dynamism, tenacity and excellence in the indigenous sector.
“Deloitte is proud to celebrate their success and potential.
“These awards acknowledge their hard work and commitment and we are delighted to showcase their achievements.”
Wilsons Auctions is the UK and Ireland’s largest independent auction house with twelve strategically situated auction complexes throughout the British Isles.
