WORK is under way on a series of new safety measures at one of the borough’s most notorious road junctions.

Roads Service staff began work this week to install traffic signals at the junction of the Doagh Road, Carntall Road and Carnmoney Road North.

“The work is intended to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians at this busy crossroads and involves the installation of traffic signals, localised carriageway widening, footway construction, drainage and utility alterations,” a Roads Service spokesperson explained.
