Looking back... Praise for local BB boys
Members of 1st Ballyeaston Boys' Brigade, Junior Section, were complimented on their neat turnout at their annual display in April 1986.
They were paid the tribute at the event at Brann Memorial Hall, by the inspecting officer.
Mr Jackie Kirk, captain of 2nd Ballyclare BB was the inspecting officer. Mr Kirk, who was accompanied by his wife, also congratulated the members on the excellent programme which they had presented. Company chaplain, Rev Robin A Boyd, who conducted the opening and closing devotions, paid tribute to the officers and helpers for their devoted work throughout the year. The trophies and awards were presented to the boys by Mrs Kirk.
