IT was a bad day at the office for AFC as they travelled to face their namesakes from Craigavon on Saturday.
This defeat means they have only won one of their opening three games - that came last week in the home game against Richhill.
AFC foun
d themselves 3-0 down at the interval and manager Anthony Blackburn made a number of changes at the break to try and rejuvenate his team.
And it worked as they managed to find themselves to within a goal of the Craigavon side, clawing the score back to 3-2.
Substitute Kieran Conlon came off the bench to supply a cross which was headed in by a Craigavon defender at the back post five minutes into the second half.
Then Sean McKay's corner was headed home by the diving Tony Walsh.
The Banbridge side had chances to pull level from both Walsh and McKay but failed to convert as AFC began to dominate the second half.
As they searched for the equaliser the locals changed formation to a 3-4-3.
But three goals in the last eight minutes meant that AFC were comprehensively beaten.
Next week AFC host Crewe United at Cheney Park while AFC's Reserves are also at home at Banbridge Tech.
