COLIN Malone's reign as manager of Banbridge Town has got off to a losing start.
Dungannon Swifts breezed past the Town for a well-earned 3-0 victory at Cheney Park tonight.
Ex-Town forward Aaron Baker got on the scoresheet, wrapping up the scoring with a rifled shot from James Slater's short pass.
Before that they took a 1-0 lead into the interval when Swifts' Jamie Tomelty opened the scoring with a well earned team goal.
And Tomelty was involved in the Tyrone side's second goal on 55 minutes, playing a neat pass to the impressive Shea McGerrigan who crossed low into the path of Slater to tap in from close range.
Malone will be hoping for a better performance from his troops come Tuesday night when they take on another IFA Premiership side, Newry City. That match, once again, will be at Cheney Park with a 7.30pm kick off.
For a full match report and pictures from the game see Tuesday's editions of the Banbridge and Dromore Leader.
