CURRAN, Larne was the venue for Dromore Ladies on Thursday last when they opposed the league leaders.
A favourable result was essential if Dromore were to maintain their challenge for League honours.
On a very heavy surface, Curran Ladies settled the better and established a commanding 12-1 lead against Rink Two before the halfway stage.
However, the Dromore rink fought back tenaciously and with the help of a count of seven on one end, completely overwhelmed their opposition in later stages to win 26-15.
There were no such worries for Rink One who quickly came to terms with the green and their opponents. Excellent bowling allowed them to go on to a very comfortable 33-11 win.
Rink 1: M Adair, A McGarrity, L Aiken, M Dawson - won 33-11.
Rink 2: B Lindsay, L Gribben, M Ward, C Ogle - won 26 -15
Next week (July 3) Divis Ladies visit Holm Park in another league game.
