- The Chairman and committee thank all those who assisted in any way in making the Festival such a success. A special word of appreciation to the many members who turned up at the Club on Monday last to tidy up the premises.

Also a big thank you to the businesses and families who sponsored the Family Fun Day – Monica and Cathal Duggan, The Wine King, Marian and Dan Morgan. Many thanks also to James O'Neill for providing the music for the day.

- A First Aid Course is available through St. John's Ambulance/Newry Tech/Southern Regional College and will commence at the end of September.

The course lasts 21 weeks at the end of which a certificate will be issued to participants. The maximum number of participants on the course is 12 and so anyone interested in doing this course should contact Sean McElroy 07771804268 as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The cost of the course is £50 per person although those in receipt of Tax Credit or who are means tested will receive approximately a 50% reduction in fees.

- Anyone interested in taking part in a golfing weekend in October with the Riverside Golf Society should contact Aidan Brown 07769620920.

- The next outing for the Liatroim Wanderers will take place on Sunday 31st August. More details next week.

- The Club shop will open on Wednesday from 7.30–8.30pm.

- Last week's winning numbers were: 1, 9, 12, 17. Three-number winners were Patrick McCartan and Catherine Ward.

This week's draw takes place on Thursday August 21 in Mac's Bar with a jackpot of £2,000.

- The cleaners on duty this week are Francine McEvoy, Monica Cunningham, Angela White, Brenda Clarke and Marie O'Hare.
