'As you were' at BallyclareComrades AGM

BALLYCLARE Comrades' annual general meeting was a low key affair, with all the main office-bearers re-elected.

Trevor McCann continues to hold the top post of chairman, with Don Horner and Robert Fleck retaining the positions of honorary secretary and honorary treasurer respectively, while Eddie McClintock continues as President.

They will be supported by a committee consisting of Drew Horner, Paddy Kelly, Tommy Streight (Sen.), Tim Duff, Willie Graham and Willie Smith.

The manager, Gordon Chambers, gave a report on the team's performance during the past season, outlined plans for the new campaign, and took part in a question and answer session.

Commenting Don Horner said, "It was a routine sort of meeting; no sparks were flying and the treasurer, Robert Fleck, presented a satisfactory financial report, but indicated that restraints would still be in operation throughout the 2009-2010 season."

Meanwhile Ards will continue to ground-share with Comrades at Dixon Park for at least one more campaign.

The competitive season commences on Saturday 8th August, and the Ballyclare Comrades Supporters Club AGM will be held on Thursday 13th August.
