Ballyclare golf matchplay trophies near conclusion
BALLYCLARE golfers, despite the recent very poor playing conditions, are fairly well up to date with the main matchplay competitions.
The McClure Cup semi-finals are as follows - Alan Lilley v Bill Houston and Staffy Stevenson v Sam Robinson.
In the Kirkpatrick Cup the semi-finals are due by 3rd September and the draw is D. Craig v S. Todd and Adam McIntyre v Ian McConnaughie.
The semi-finals of the Love Trophy are to be played by 25th August - S. and K. Robinson v Philip and Janice Clarke, Jack and Joan Patterson v Brian and J. Wilkinson.
The Curry Clock semi-finals are Bill Houston/Stephen Rea v S. Heaney/B. Dowey. S. Purdy/A. Wilson have beaten B. Armstrong/Keith Hassard.

The Ian Gordon Trophy due to have been played on Sunday, 12th August had to be postponed due to very wet weather.
HOLT SHIELD
In the Holt Shield Ballyclare lost the away leg 4-1 to Rockmount.
