In this second round tie Muckamore, needing three runs to win off the final six balls, with eight wickets in hand seemed home and dry, but they reckoned without paceman Parkes.

His amazing final over figures were: wicket, dot, wicket, wicket, single, wicket!!

When the home side scored a single off the penultimate ball, they needed one to tie or two to win, but young Parkes had the final say with that crucial fourth wicket.

After winning the toss TCC posted 97 for 6 in their 20 overs, with Adam Clarke top scoring with 42.

Commenting club coach Andy McCrea said, “The odds were firmly in favour of Muckamore at Moylena at the start of that final over, with eight wickets in hand and needing only three runs, but Ollie Parkes was the man for the big occasion, when he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

“The Under 15s have made an excellent start to the season under skipper Adam Clarke, having won their opening league fixture, and now progressing to the quarter-final of the popular Graham Cup.”
