Cliftonville Cricket Club got their season proper off to a successful start at the weekend with wins in both the league and the cup.

In NCU Senior 2 they accounted for Belfast International Sports Club (BISC) by 7 wickets, and in the Junior Cup they beat CIYMS 2nds by 7 runs in a tight finish.

Cliftonville captain Mark McCord had a good weekend with 4 wickets in the league match and a 50 in the cup, while Jonny Terrett was Player of the Match in the Junior Cup with an all-round performance of 93 runs and 4 wickets.

Cliftonville will now play Victoria in the Junior Cup 2nd Round
