AMATEUR LEAGUE: Draw made for Clarence Cup

The draw for the opening round of the Amateur League’s Clarence Cup has been made.

While there tends to be more prestige attached to the Border Cup and its traditional Christmas final, the Clarence is arguably harder to win and is the equivalent of the Amateur League’s FA Cup.

Locally, Kilroot Rec, Mossley FC, Wellington Rec and Larne Tech Old Boys all meet Junior opposition, while one of the ties of the round is the meeting at the Diamond of Rathfern Rangers and St Patrick’s YM.

Round-one ties are to be played on or before December 6.
