Comrades to face Glentoran in League Cup
Ballyclare will host Eddie Patterson’s Glentoran in the League Cup at Dixon Park later this month after the Comrades defeated Annagh United 2-1 in the opening round of the competition on Tuesday evening.
Kyle Agnew set the wheels in motion on 23 minutes when he scored the opener, only for United to draw level on 33 minutes. Substitute Kyle Buckley netted the winner for the Comrades in the 73rd minute.
The second-round tie against Glentoran is set to be played on Monday, August 26.
