There was no new year joy for 10-man Ballyclare Comrades at Breda Park on Saturday where Knockbreda, managed by Ballyclare man Raymond Bell, collected the Championship 1 points.

With no fewer than nine regulars missing, Reds manager Eddie Hill had to recruit heavily from the Reserves, and his patched-up side lost by the odd goal in three.

Dylan Wilson opened the scoring for the home side before CJ McIlwaine levelled matters on 35 minutes. But new boy Carl McComb netted the winner for the home side in the second session.
