Hill ‘far from happy’ with Reds’ performance

Ballyclare Comrades boss Eddie Hill said he was pleased to progress in the Intermediate Cup but was “far from happy” with how his team played in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Queen’s.

“It was a win, but I was far from happy with the performance. I experimented with a different formation that didn’t work out in a disappointing first half, but following a reshuffle and a return to a more normal formation we coasted into the next round.

Joel Cooper and Kyle Buckley linked well for the first goal that put us one up at the break, but when they scored a quick equaliser we were under pressure for a time, before a Simon McGowan penalty and a Kyle Buckley goal saw us safely home.”
