Michelin Old Boys held a charity match earlier this month and raised over £500 for the Northern Ireland Hospice rebuild and the Chemotherapy Unit, at Laurel House in Antrim.
Organisers thanked the Valley Leisure Centre’s manager Stephen Bartlett, Tesco Carrickfergus and DW Sports who helped with the event.
Tesco provided refreshments for the players, while DW offered to free passes for its gym which were used as raffle prizes.
And the generosity didn’t stop there. Irish League giants Linfield Football Club kindly loaned training bibs at short notice for the game.
While charity was at the heart of the match, it also served as a reunion for some of the players who had not been together since the 1970s.
