Carrick Rangers have completed their first signing since winning promotion with Ballyclare defender Andrew Doyle putting pen to paper for the Danske Bank Premiership new boys.

Doyle, who made 68 appearances for the Dixon Park outfit, will add steel to the Gers’ rearguard as the club aims to strengthen for next season.

A former Glentoran Colts captain, 24-year-old Doyle has previously had spells with Lisburn Distillery and Amateur League sides Rathfern Rangers and Nortel.
