The Glengormley lads came to life when Man of the Match Pearse Loughlin netted an equaliser - his first of five goals on the day.

One from wing wizard Dan Mooney, and two from Matt Whiteway ensured St Mary’s maintained their 100 per cent start to the league.

Team: McCluskey, Price, McVeigh, Byrne, McAuley, Russell, Mooney, Meighan, McAvoy, Loughlin, Whiteway. Subs: Connolly, Donnelly, McConville, Wilson, Graham.

St Mary’s U13 1 Carnmoney FDC 2

St Mary’s U13s lost their four-match unbeaten run against Carnmoney FDC last Saturday.

Carnmoney took the lead before Antaine McNicholl levelled matters 10 minutes from time. Carnmoney hit back with a late equaliser.

St Mary’s U15 1 Aquinas Star 1

A Luke Walsh free-kick led to Player of the Month Caolan McKee scoring a well-executed opening goal for St Mary’s on 15 minutes.

Aquinas came back into game and should have levelled only for two fine saves from Adam Carlin, and clearances from Eoin Sullivan and Ciaran Magee.

The second-half proved frustrating for the Saints as Aquinas pushed three men up front and it paid off when they netted an equaliser.

The Saints had a late penalty appeal waved away after Michael McAuley appeared to be fouled in the box.

St Mary’s FC U17 5 Carryduff 2

An impressive 5-2 win for St Mary’s U17s against a very competitive Carryduff team was secured with goals from S. Moreland (two) and R. McAllister (two) and C. Birch (Player of the Month for September).

It was 1-1 at half time but with three quick second-half goals secured all three points for St Mary’s.
