Ballyclare Comrades made it back-to-back league wins with a 2-0 home victory over Loughgall on Tuesday night.

Second-half goals from Denver Gage and Mark Wilkinson saw the Reds bag all three points at Dixon Park.

After a drab first-half, Gage broke the deadlock as he rose above everyone else at the back post to head home Adam Gray’s 68th-minute corner.

Wilkinson showed real spark when he came off the bench for midfielder Gerard McAlea. He was rewarded for his endeavour when he confidently found the bottom corner after good link-up play between Darren Doherty and Chris Trussell.

The win lifts Eddie Hill’s men up to eighth spot in Championship 1, above Loughgall on goal difference.
