Wee Reds and Star meet in top-of-the-table clash

Unbeaten Ballyclare Comrades Reserves are gearing themselves up for a Ballymena League Junior Division 1 top-of-the-table clash with main rivals Castle Star at Dixon Park on Wednesday (April 23).

“Star are seven points ahead of us in pole position, but we have five games in hand, so this will be a virtual six-pointer,” said boss, Stephen Hughes.

The Wee Reds will be dubbed favourites, especially as they thrashed Star 6-2 in September, but since then the Carrick lads have strung together a series of impressive wins.
