Locals take title

WITHIN the last few weeks the U15 boys team from the Southern Regional Development squad have won the Ulster Juvenile League.

The four players - Chris Johns, Matthew Beck, Richard Lyttle and Lee Wilson played exceptionally well to win the U15 Boys section.

They won four matches outright with a draw in the final match to win overall. They faced stiff competition from Lisburn, Belfast and Glengormley teams.

The events were played at the National Badminton Centre, Lisburn. Three of the boys are from Banbridge Academy and all of the boys are part of the Southern RDS which meets on Friday evenings in the Banbridge Leisure Centre and is coached by Michael Watt and Lisa Martin.
