Last weekend proved to be another busy one for County Antrim Harriers.

Three of its members tackled the Albertville 4-mile road race with Nigel Hamilton first home in 33:16, followed by Nigel Snoddy (33:16) and Jennifer Moore (35:09).

At Saturday’s Jengana 10k, an event which raises funds for children living in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, Graeme O’Hara was first home for the Harriers in 44:09; followed quickly by Natasha Henderson (46:35); and Claire Oliphant and Rachel Lloyd - both in 52:05.

Four County Antrim Harriers were among the 35,000 competitors in Sunday’s Great Manchester 10k. The quartet, all running strongly, despite the heat, felt like stars as they ran past Old Trafford and the Coronation Street set. Results: Marian Hayes (62:31); Rebecca Edmonson (67:56); Eileen Stewart (70:47); and Fran Wright (79:35).

This Saturday (May 28), the Harriers are looking forward to welcoming a record number of athletes to their second annual May Fair 10k and 5k Fun Run. The races start at 10am from Ballyclare RFC. Further information can be found on the club’s website www.countyantrimharriers.co.uk or the race Facebook page.

The Harriers would like to thank all their sponsors, without whose generosity and support, the event would not be possible.
