Greenbank ‘A’ moved to the top of the Larne And District Snooker League with the 5-0 demolition of The Point.

Pete McCaffrey (32), Davy Johnston, Wayne Harper, Robert Kinnon and Maurice Williams all won for the visitors.

Latharna sit a point behind on 62 frames after a 5-0 home win against Larne Legion. Billy Millar (30), Raymond Weir (27), Jim Jackson (27), Gavin Carmichael (21) and George McGregor were all on target.

Despite having a game in hand, St Comgall’s occupy third spot on 61 points after a 3-2 home win against Ballyclare Golf Club B. Joe Gribben, Ciaran O’Toole and Alphonsus McIlwaine all won to secure the victory, with Adam McIntyre and Jim Crockard taking two for the golfers.

Linfield recorded their 15th victory of the season with a 3-2 away win at Greenbank B. Gary Rutherford, Billy Parke and Raymond Forsythe all won, with Harry Nelson and Hugh McMurtry responding for the hosts.

In a close match, Carrick A came out 3-2 winners over St John’s. Derek Newell, Ricky Bradley and Davy Wright all won with Alex Robertson (33) and Andy Reid winning for the visitors.

Ballyclare Golf Club ‘A’ came from behind to claim a 3-2 victory over Ballylumford.

Davy Irwin and Jim Magill took the first two frames before Neil McKelvey with breaks of 58 and 37, Tommy Balmber (49) and Darren Agnew secured the win.

Ballyclare Old Boys came out top in their match against Carrick ‘B’.

Tommy Hart, Joe Lennon and Noel Vennard won for the hosts, with Jim Greene and Tommy Bond replying for the Carrick men.
