Parkview Ladies remain in the play-off spot at the foot of the Senior League Division 3 table after losing out to Owls.
With regulars Sharon Gaffney, Emma Stubbs, Caroline Coulter, Selina McCallin, Cathy Morrow and captain Claire Patterson all missing, the Doagh girls had to dip in to the reserves for this fixture at Roughfort, where the hosts won 2-0.
In an untidy first half, neither side managed to string passes together, so that Jenny Wallace in the visiting goal and her opposite number were not seriously tested.
For Parkview, Nikki Singleton and Clare McClean worked tirelessly in midfield, and managed to play strikers Jenna Maxwell and Tammy Gamble in to the circle on a couple of occasions, but there was no end product, and no corners gained.
Owls fared little better, but they forced two penalty corners that were cleared by Rosemary Dundee and Penny Purdy.
The second session continued to be evenly contested, until eight minutes from time when Owls struck twice in as many minutes to secure the points that keep them in the top half of the table.
Parkview Ladies: J Wallace, R Dundee, J Rankin, P Purdy, L Brady, C Morrison, C McClean, N Singleton (Turkington), T Smallwood, J Maxwell, T Gamble, H McClean.
n On Saturday Parkview entertain Bangor at Foundry Lane, and after that they have only three more fixtures to fulfil against Limavady, PSNI and Newcastle.
n The 2nd XI received a walk-over in to the third round of the Junior Plate when their opponents, Ballymoney 3, withdrew.
