Ballyclare’s Jamie Hamilton was in action at the Scarborough Cock O’ The North road races last weekend and while had a few problems, he added more impressive results to his road racing CV.
He took second in the 650 supertwins race behind winner Ryan Farquhar and a fourth place on the KMR 1000cc Kawasaki on Saturday.
“I got the big bike going the way I wanted for the first time this season and finished fourth on Saturday. Unfortunately, I crashed out on the opening lap of Sunday’s first race and then in the second race I had a brake problem. The supertwin went well and I finished second to Ryan but it was jumping out of gear towards the end of the race and it was safer to park it for the rest of the weekend. Now I am looking forward to this weekend and the Armoy race,” said Jamie.
