Newtownabbey’s Jamie Hamilton was ‘Man of the Meeting’ at the Skerries 100 road race on Saturday after winning the open race, the 650 Supertwins race and finishing third in the 600 Supersport race.
But the Ballyclare rider had to do his celebrating in Dublin hospital after a massive crash in the Grand Final superbike race.
He had led throughout the race after passing Dan Kneen on the opening lap but as the pair approached the chicane for the final time they touched and Hamilton crashed out.
The race win went to Kneen on the BE Racing Suzuki with Michael Sweeney and Derek Sheils completing the rostrum.
