Jonathan Rea stands proudly on the top of the World Superbike Championship after two stunning victories at Imola on Sunday.
For the East Antrim rider it was a perfect weekend on his Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade at the fourth round of the championship.
The 27-year-old ex-Larne Grammar pupil comfortably won both races from pole position, setting the fastest lap in each. He now leads the championship by four points from fellow Brit Tom Sykes. The next round of the series is at Donington Park in a fortnight’s time.
