County Antrim Harriers travelled far and wide last the weekend with members successfully participating in events in Belfast, Markethill and Cookstown.

First in action, with a 9am start time, was Louise Smart, who stormed around the Belfast Victoria parkrun in an excellent personal best of 22:30, finishing as first female overall in the process.

Over at the Waterworks parkrun, Heather White led the Harriers home in 23:33, followed by Irene Downey with 26:39 and Grace Startin in 28:24.

At Markethill in County Armagh Natalie Davidson, Marion Morrow and newcomer Eileen Stewart represented the club in the difficult and demanding terrain of the Gosford Forest 10k with Davidson clinching a top 10 spot and second FV35 with a well deserved 47:48, with Morrow finishing in 64:08 and debutant Stewart in 67:45.

Meanwhile, team-mates Glen Wilson (above) and Christine Murray headed over to Tyrone to compete in the Sperrin Harriers Winter League Series at the Drum Manor Forest 10k, and on an equally difficult hilly course finished in 47:56 and 50:58 respectively, with Murray once again to the fore and finishing fourth female overall and 1st FV40.
