BALLYCLARE surged to the top of the Qualifying League Section 2 table with a bonus-point win against lowly Lisburn at the weekend.

With overnight leaders Bangor idle, Bob Young’s lads grabbed the opportunity to leap-frog to the summit, leaving the Seasiders three points adrift.

Lisburn came to The Cloughan as the underdogs, and they were well and truly under the cosh as the White Hare lads romped to a massive 49-0 win.
