Templepatrick Cricket Club have been drawn away from home in the first round of the Northern Cricket Union’s Senior Challenge Cup next season.

The Ballyclare-based club will travel to Dundrum and the tie will be on May 4. Should they progress they will face the daunting task of entertaining Premier League side Waringstown in the second round.

Ulster Bank has announced its renewed sponsorship of both NCU Senior Cup and League competitions. The Cup will be played between the eight Premiership and 10 Section 1 teams and the full draw is:

First round (Saturday May 4): Dundrum v Templepatrick; Laurelvale v Cliftonville.

Second round (Saturday, May 25): Derriaghy v Civil Service North; Downpatrick v Carrickfergus; Lurgan v Woodvale; Dundrum / Templepatrick v Waringstown; Muckamore v Ballymena; Instonians v CIYMS; Laurelvale / Cliftonville v Donacloney; Lisburn v North Down.

The draw was made by Ireland’s National Coach, Phil Simmons, and Stephen Cruise from Ulster Bank.
