ROSSTULLA School in Jordanstown is rejoicing over news that one of its talented Year 12 pupils has excelled herself on the flute.
Young Ami Ogilby, 15, hit all the right notes and achieved Grade 8 on the flute with Distinction recently.
"Ami joined our school in Sept 2007. She was a shy little girl who lacked confidence in her own abilities. As a young child Ami was renowned for her beautiful singing. However, she was unable to perform in public without the support of either her music teacher or other students," said Avril Fryers, Vice Principal at Rosstulla School.
"As time progressed we watched Ami develop and blossom into a beautiful, talented and confident young woman who has performed solo to large audiences and played a major role in school productions.
"Ami has always been a pleasure to have in school. It has been our privilege to work with her. We have enjoyed being part of her journey, and look forward to the future."
