Antrim and Newtownabbey Council waives Entertainment Licence fees

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has waived more than £20k in annual fees for Entertainment Licences in a move to help support hospitality businesses in the region.

Following the latest announcement from the NI Executive, businesses within the hospitality sector can now reopen.

During a visit to Sportsmans Inn, Ballyclare, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Cllr Jim Montgomery commented: “It has been a long time coming for the hospitality businesses in our borough and I am delighted that they can now reopen.

“I am pleased the council has waived the Entertainment Licence fees as this will help reduce their outgoings.

“Our borough has a vast array of bars, restaurants and cafes for everyone to enjoy and now they are open I would encourage everyone to come and show their support.”
