In pictures: Ballyclare High pupils celebrate ‘province-busting’ grades

Pupils and staff at Ballyclare High are once again celebrating outstanding A level results today.

A spokesperson for the Rashee Road school explained: “For the fourth year in a row scores across all key indicators have risen. 100 per cent of pupils secured pass grades in three or more A level subjects with 89 per cent of them recording three or more A*-C grades.

“A*/A grades account for over 48 per cent of the total, a province-busting figure and 77 per cent of all grades were B or above.”

Dr Michelle Rainey, Principal of Ballyclare High School said: “I am absolutely delighted with the academic achievements of our pupils.

“They have worked so hard, in partnership with their teachers and with the support of their parents, through a challenging and difficult time.

“Grades reflect all our hopes and expectations and there can be complete confidence that this years’ academic achievements are as robust as ever.

“Our A level pupils this year have shown great maturity and commitment and I cannot praise them highly enough; congratulations and best wishes to you all, you are brilliant!

“Ballyclare High School has a culture of nurturing and developing potential so each child can be their best and days like today are testimony to that, reflected in fabulously well-rounded and accomplished young people.”
